Door 22

I was in the Bristol Old Vic for a rehearsal when I found this door. I found it very eerie, especially since there are reports of the building being haunted. So I have written a ghost story based on these events.

Door 21

I found this door and it inspired me to write an action story. Where I was originally amused by the painting, the story took a dark turn. I was thinking of Borderlands and Firefly when I wrote it (I can clearly imagine Jayne in that situation), and it is set in the future with a touch of Terminator in there too.

Door 20

I found a wonderful painting on a door in Bristol, a couple of doors down from Cafe Kino where my friend Dave works. I have written a children's story to accompany the painting. I'm afraid I don't know who painted it.

Door 18

Today I worked with items that caught my eye on my way to work.

Door of mirror and feather.

I drew on the mirror with white marker and found that mirror is hard to photograph! The black in the door is created by the reflection of the camera. Thanks to Luna and Taz for the help.

"Drink More Gin," says Purple Door.
I am inclined to agree.
Cheers!

Door 15

I've been at work all day, and make a door out of all the items in the Lost Property Box.

Door of phone chargers and key.

Door 13

Being English, I love tea. Today I gave myself permission to spend more time over my cup.

Door made of white tea.

Door 12

A little paper door I made while having coffee in Cafe Grounded in Bristol.

I wrote my blog URL on the back of the door and left it there for someone to find.

Door 11

Door made of salt, with helpful sunlight adding some beauty.

I got busted making this at work in the kitchen, and all I could think of saying to my co-worker was; "This is going to be hard to explain."

Door 10

Creative writing based on a door that I found. I'd been seeing the same tag appear all over Bristol for a while, but never in colours before.

This is the first quote I will use, and I expect it will not be the last Neil Gaiman quote either. He is largely to blame for my new obsession.

Door 6

Today is the big day for us singers! Today my vocal ensemble, The Beautiful Machine, is performing at the Bristol Proms. We have been working on the show "In A Town" for months, so today's door is from the theatre.

Before you walk through a theatre door, you are in your city or town. Once you've walked through its frame, you have been invited into someones artistic vision. You are in a hall which is a portal to your own imagination.

BONUS DOOR:

A door of light, during the show.

Door 5

Today is the 1st August 2013, which is Lammas (Anglo-Saxon Pagan Festival). It is the festival of the wheat harvest, and it is often referred to as "the feast of first fruit". On this day it was customary to bless a loaf made from the new crop. A book of Anglo-Saxon charms directed that the lammas bread be broken into four bits, which were to be placed at the four corners of the barn, to protect the grain.

To honour today, and since I don't have a barn, I have drawn a door decorated with wheat and bread. Comment below if you have an idea of where the door might lead.
